Counseling for Teens
Supporting teens today for a stronger tomorrow!
I love working with adolescents because it's such a transformative time in their lives. Being a teenager is tough, and parenting one can be challenging too.
Adolescents face issues like isolation, bullying, anxiety, anger, and defiance. I enjoy helping them build self-awareness, self- confidence, develop coping skills, and grow stronger.
Family therapy can be important when working with teenagers because it helps improve communication, address conflicts, and provide support for both the teen and their family.
Psychotherapy effectively supports youth facing emotional, social, or academic challenges. It provides a private, non-judgmental space for teens to express themselves and work through issues. While parents aim to help, the parent-child dynamic can complicate discussions.
Therapy is typically one-on-one, fostering engagement and progress. Information may be shared with parents with the teen's consent, but serious safety concerns will be disclosed to ensure the teen's well-being.
